This was the first show for a new design for 2019 for The String Cheese Incident.  This meant a new camera and communication system as well as the addition of the Avolites Ai video server.  The new server allowed us to take in all 8 cameras at the same time which meant I could overlay or arrange multiple cameras on the same output.  This also meant that camera cuts could be programmed into the songs and no directing was necessary. 

For the New Years show in particular the intention was to have the stage and its production evolve over the three shows.  Day one starts with a red velvet curtain covering the upstage video wall and a PAR can rig and chandeliers on DMX controlled winches as the primarily visual. Day two introduced the video wall and intelligent lighting elements and in the 3rd set of day three we transformed the stage for a “Shebang” set.  A shebang set is best described as “a visual and musical journey which we all take together” and if you’ve ever worked a shebang you know exactly what I’m saying.  The set is Produced by the talented Nova Han from Nova Han Productions in conjunction with Jeremy Stein and the band.
